authentic, antique cigarette cards set in a hand-painted, custom mat and a new 6" x 6" frame.

introduced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a marketing tool by cigarette manufacturers to boost brand loyalty, these small cards featured a wide range of subjects, including sports figures, actors, and animals. they quickly became a hit amongst collectors, with the goal being to acquire every card in a set.

this particular set was produced by Ogden’s of Great Britain in 1906 and features Britain’s top jockeys dressed in the silks of their owners. the jockey and owners’ information is listed on the back of the card.
