Framed Shelter Island Oyster Co. Vintage Playing Card, Oscar the Oyster

the Shelter Island Oyster Co. operated on the east end of Long Island until the 1950’s and its mascot, “Oscar the Oyster”, reigned as a symbol of the best oysters grown in New York. while the business is no longer in operation, its legacy lives on through its highly collectible memorabilia.

I stumbled across this deck of vintage, original playing cards and thought Oscar was too cute not to be on permanent display. the cards have been set in custom mats and new 8” gold bamboo frames.
